Katherine J. Baker is an associate in the Kansas City office of Lewis Brisbois and a member of the Labor & Employment and General Liability Practices.

Katherine Baker is in her 13th year as a licensed attorney after admission to the Missouri Bar in 2010. Katherine is a class of 2007 graduate of Villanova University where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in philosophy, double concentration in both Cultural Studies and also Social and Political Philosophy & Ethics. Katherine graduated with pro bono honors from the University of Missouri at Kansas City Law School, class of 2010. She was law clerk to the Hon. Jeffrey L. Bushur, Division 33 of the State of Missouri’s 16th Judicial Circuit. Katherine spent 2012 to 2020 as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney in both Clay (7th Judicial Circuit) and Jackson (16th Judicial Circuit) counties in Missouri. Most recently, Katherine handled complex criminal litigation in the violent crimes/homicide unit at the Jackson County, Missouri Prosecuting attorney’s office in Kansas City. Katherine has tried over 20 criminal cases to verdict.

In early 2020, Katherine joined an in-house litigation team in-house at Lockton Companies where she assisted in managing matters arising from contract, compliance, employment and other legal issues. In 2022 Katherine returned to litigation and began her civil practice, focusing on general liability, workers’ compensation, catastrophic injury and trucking law. In 2023, Katherine joined the litigation team with Lewis Brisbois in Kansas City, Missouri with a focus in the areas of labor & employment and general liability.
