Namrata Joshi is an associate in the Atlanta office of Lewis Brisbois and a member of the Intellectual Property & Technology and Data Privacy & Cybersecurity Practices. She focuses on technology-related matters, including intellectual property and counseling in addition to sophisticated business litigation in federal and state court. More specifically, she handles patent, copyright, and trademark matters. Prior to joining Lewis Brisbois, she enforced trademark rights for clients in the healthcare industry.
Namrata started her career at an AmLaw200 firm, where she gained broad experience in handling complex financial services, commercial, trade secret, media, privacy, and constitutional matters. While there, she handled a complex trade secret dispute, which included litigating, authoring, and successfully arguing summary judgement. Namrata also gained unique insight into the judicial process while clerking for United States Magistrate Judge Alicia O. Valle in the Southern District of Florida. During law school, Namrata interned for United States District Judge Patricia A. Seitz and United States Magistrate Judge John O’Sullivan.
Namrata is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US), who has knowledge in the ever-evolving landscape of data privacy and cybersecurity laws and regulations across various industries. She previously developed privacy notices and policies for various companies and has counseled clients in implementing projects while complying with applicable privacy laws.
Pro Bono & Philanthropy
Having previously served as attorney ad litem to children, Namrata is passionate about serving underprivileged members of the community. She has also written criminal appellate briefs.
