Tawana Johnson is a partner in the Atlanta office of Lewis Brisbois and a Vice Chair of the Data Privacy & Cybersecurity Practice, focusing on helping clients respond to cybersecurity incidents, comply with state and federal data privacy requirements, and respond to state and federal regulatory investigations.

Tawana consults as data breach counsel for clients who have experienced cybersecurity incidents, including business email compromise, wire fraud and ransomware attacks. She is part of a team that is on call 24/7 to assist clients with breach response services throughout the United States and Canada. Tawana advises clients during breach response to minimize operational disruption, containment and restoration following an attack, and forensic investigation. She guides clients through post-incident notification and regulatory reporting requirements, and assists clients with responding to state and federal regulatory investigations. Tawana is experienced in compliance with state data breach notification laws, GDPR, HIPAA, FERPA and GLBA requirements.
