Leviy Johnson is a partner in the Denver office of Lewis Brisbois and a member of the General Liability and Transportation Practices. Having litigated more than 100 criminal and civil trials to a jury, Leviy has a diverse practice defending property owners, product manufactures, event promoters, bars, restaurants, hotels, retail establishments, sports and outdoor recreational companies, municipal organizations, trucking and transportation, and insurance companies. His experience in hospitality law includes representing hotels, bars, and restaurant in a variety of areas to include liquor liability, security, and premises liability. He also has extensive experience representing local, state, national, and international insured and self-insured companies in complex catastrophic tort litigation. Leviy currently serves as an Assistant Judge for the City of Fort Collins, Colorado.

Prior to joining Lewis Brisbois, Leviy served as supervising attorney on numerous high exposure, tort and commercial lawsuits, including cases involving allegations of wrongful death, brain injury, and other traumatic injuries. Before his career in civil law, Leviy was a prosecutor in Adams County where he was first chair on close to 100 cases that included multiple week-long or longer cases, sexual assault, murder, and white collar crime cases.

A veteran, Leviy proudly served in the United States military for 12 years in both the United States Air Force and the Army National Guard. During his time with the Air Force, Leviy served two tours as an E-6 Technical Sergeant supervising the delivery of emergency care and support in the field. During his time with the Army National Guard, Leviy was promoted ahead of his peers as the youngest E-5 in the history of the Wyoming Army National Guard at the age of just 18 years old.

Outside of his professional life, Leviy is an avid fitness enthusiast successfully completing Ragnar Road twice, Ragnar Trail, and multiple tough mudders. He also enjoys the art of cooking, and spending time with his wife and twin daughters.

Representative Matters

  • Obtained summary judgment in a premises liability case for a large property management company in the Denver area who had insisted on making a $500,000 offer that the Plaintiff rejected three days before the court granted the motion.
