Trisha R. Hudkins is an associate in the Pittsburgh and Weirton offices of Lewis Brisbois and is a member of the Corporate, General Liability, Products Liability and Labor and Employment Practices. She handles all phases of litigation, from inception through trial, inclusive of substantive motion practice and conducting depositions and mediations. Her practice focuses on general liability, labor and employment, toxic tort and commercial litigation. She has experience in handling all aspects of complex litigation, including focusing on early and essential investigation, taking and defending challenging depositions, and successful settlement negotiation. Her representative experience ranges from defending premises actions to defending corporations in trade secret matters.
Ms. Hudkins has experience defending toxic tort claims involving asbestos and other industrial exposures to toxic substances.
Ms. Hudkins also has a background in oil and gas matters, particularly related to drafting title opinions and handling lease negotiations.
Ms. Hudkins received her Juris Doctor from Duquesne University School of Law, where she was President of the Energy and Mineral Law Society, Vice President of the Christian Legal Society, and Editor-in-Chief of the Energy and Environmental Law Journal. Ms. Hudkins also received a CALI Award for the highest grade in Mineral and Gas Law: Leases and Conveyances. Ms. Hudkins received a concentration in Civil Litigation and was awarded a Pro Bono Certificate for her volunteer hours.
Before joining Lewis Brisbois, Trisha practiced with a mid-size full service law firm where she advised clients regarding matters involving labor and employment liability, professional liability, administrative law and oil and gas title defects. Trisha worked to secure favorable outcomes for these clients.
Trisha worked as a title abstractor and crew chief in the oil and gas industry prior to pursuing a legal career and believes that this experience benefits her clients through her ability to identify the business and operational concerns affected by the law.
