Benjamin Hudgens is an associate in the Denver office of Lewis Brisbois and a member of the Labor & Employment and Professional Liability Practices. Ben has extensive experience in state and federal court addressing employment-related claims and class/collective actions, including those based on discrimination, wrongful termination, ADA, FMLA, and EEOC claims. Ben has also litigated a number of national and regional commercial litigation cases, including high-value contract disputes, consumer class actions, government investigations, first-party bad-faith cases, and antitrust enforcement matters.
Ben approaches ongoing and prospective disputes with an eye towards the client's best interests. Ben has extensive experience at all stages of litigation, including pre-litigation negotiation, sophisticated electronic discovery, taking and defending high-stakes depositions, drafting dispositive motions and taking the case to trial. Ben has first chaired multiple trials and believes that an effective trial strategy is critical to favorable resolution of any matter. In addition, Ben also counsels clients on steps to take to avoid litigation and how to comply with applicable laws and regulations.
Ben's past experience includes clerking for the Honorable Philip J. Brimmer, Chief United States District Judge of the United States District Court for the District of Colorado.
