Sam Howie is an associate in the Newark office of Lewis Brisbois and a member of the Labor & Employment Practice. He has defended employers in numerous venues, including before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the American Arbitration Association (AAA), the New Jersey Division on Civil Rights, the New York Commission on Human Rights, New Jersey state and federal courts, and New York state courts. He has also represented large businesses in commercial litigation matters, presented on "AI in the Workplace" at Lewis Brisbois's 2023 New York & New Jersey Employment Law Seminar, and written an article about New York City's recent amendment to its Anti-Discrimination Law. 

Sam received his undergraduate degree and law degree from the University of Maryland. In law school, he served as an articles editor for the Journal of Race, Religion, Gender & Class and was a student attorney for the Mediation Clinic. After law school, Sam clerked for the Hon. Robert J. Jones, Jr. in Middlesex County Superior Court.
