Omar Hassan is an associate in the Los Angeles office of Lewis Brisbois and a member of the Labor & Employment Practice. Mr. Hassan's practice focuses on a variety of employment litigation matters, including workplace discrimination, harassment, retaliation, failure to accommodate, wrongful termination, and wage and hour claims. He represents employers of all sizes in both state and federal court, as well as in arbitration.
Mr. Hassan has experience in handling all aspects of pre-trial litigation, including drafting motions and pleadings, discovery, and attending court hearings on behalf of clients. Prior to joining Lewis Brisbois, Mr. Hassan worked at a midsize firm in Long Beach, California defending multinational corporations in a variety of complex civil litigation matters.
Mr. Hassan attended Southwestern Law School where he was a Teaching Assistant for Torts, Section Representative for the Business Law Society, Co-Chair on the Advisory Committee of the law school's Peer Mentor Program, and the Vice President of the Middle Eastern Law Student Association. During his time at Southwestern, Mr. Hassan also received a Dean's Merit Scholarship and graduated in the top 15% of his class. Mr. Hassan also received his Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from UCLA in 2015.
While in law school, Mr. Hassan served as a Judicial Extern to the Honorable Louis Garcia, ALJ in the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission's Hearing Department, where he drafted rulings and researched issues dealing with complex employment matters.
Mr. Hassan is fluent in Arabic.
