James B. Halligan III

Of Counsel

James Halligan is Of Counsel in the Philadelphia office of Lewis Brisbois. As a member of the Data Privacy & Cybersecurity Team, he assists clients with responding to data security incidents. Before joining Lewis Brisbois, James was an Assistant District Attorney, and cross-designated as a Special Assistant United States Attorney. He proactively worked with local, state, and federal law enforcement to prosecute a wide range of criminal cases. In private practice, James advised municipal governments and business clients in contract, governance, finance, and employment matters. His civil and criminal litigation experience allows James to evaluate risks when reviewing transactional matters. James is a student in the Cybersecurity and Data Privacy Law LLM Program at Drexel University Thomas R. Kline School of Law. He has completed courses in Compliance, Enterprise Risk Management, European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Information Privacy Law, and Patient Privacy. His expected graduation date is 2022.
