Seth Guiterman is a partner in the New York office of Lewis Brisbois and a member of the General Liability Practice. He specializes in the areas of insurance coverage and property damage litigation. The cases and claims Seth litigates generally involve complex, catastrophic damage resulting from explosions, fire, equipment and machinery malfunction, litigation involving public utilities and/or adjoining premises damage. He has represented directors and officers of condominiums and co-ops, as well as their managing agents. In addition, Seth has represented designers and manufactures of turbine components and household appliances.

Seth also focuses upon the defense of first-party insurance litigation, as well as advising insurance carriers with regard to first-party coverage matters. In addition, Seth is a member of the maritime law practice group with a focus upon the defense of personal injury and property damage claims arising on vessels at sea and in dry dock.

His practice has included commercial, products liability, professional liability and breach of contract claims throughout New York in both State and Federal Court, as well as in other jurisdictions throughout the continental United States.

Prior to joining the firm, Seth spent four years as a practicing litigator with a focus upon the defense of premises liability claims and the prosecution of property damage related claims.
