Sam Genovese is an associate in the Dallas office of Lewis Brisbois and a member of the Data Privacy & Cybersecurity Practice. He is experienced in handling a wide range of technical and legal issues that characterize his practice including, but not limited to, unauthorized computer use, violations of privacy rights, and consumer protection violations. Sam has assisted clients by supervising investigations into cybersecurity events, navigating response obligations, and guiding clients through regulatory investigations. In addition, he has helped clients proactively prepare for potential cybersecurity incidents through the creation of incident response plans, legally defensible e-discovery programs, and through analysis of provisions pertaining to cybersecurity obligations in service contracts.
Sam holds the Certified Information Privacy Professional/United States (CIPP/US) credential.
