Daniel J. Fox


Daniel Fox is a partner in the New York office of Lewis Brisbois and a member of the General Liability Practice. He specializes in multi-party, complex, mass tort litigation with an emphasis on property damage (e.g. building/structure failures; adjacent construction damage; fire loss; explosions; litigation involving public utilities; neighbor disputes, soil subsidence; water intrusion and damage; construction defect; mechanical equipment failures; oil spills; and other pollution / environmental matters.) 

Dan also specializes in representing directors and officers of condominiums and co-ops, as well as their managing agents. The typical issues litigated in this practice area include: Interpretation and enforcement of governing documents (Offering Plans, By-laws, Proprietary Leases, indemnification provisions, etc.); the Business Judgment Rule; and the defense of Boards of Managers in actions brought by unit owners, tenants, and third parties. 

In addition, Dan has drafted, interpreted, negotiated, and consulted upon a variety of employment, operating and services agreements.

His litigation-based experience also includes: commercial, labor law, premises liability, professional liability, and breach of contract claims. His caseload extends throughout the Greater New York Metropolitan Area in federal and state courts.
