Thomas Dyer is an associate in the Denver office of Lewis Brisbois and a member of the Antitrust & Competition Practice. His practice also focuses on Corporate Transactions and Litigation, and Securities Litigation. Thomas represents public and private companies in a wide array of matters, including civil litigation, compliance, transactional and document drafting, and other corporate work. Thomas worked for Lewis Brisbois as a clerk during his final year of law school before joining the firm as an associate.

Thomas is also an Adjunct Professor of Antitrust and Unfair Competition Law at the University of Denver’s Sturm College of Law. As an Adjunct Professor, Thomas presents on myriad antitrust matters, including price-fixing, market divisions, monopolization, product and consumer allocations, market structures, the application of antitrust laws to technology industries, group boycotts, cartel activity, and price discrimination. Thomas distills complex antitrust concepts into accessible and engaging lessons to create a dialogue regarding the law and how it has developed. 

Thomas earned his Juris Doctor in 2019 from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, where he served as Senior Editor for the Race to the Bottom, a blog discussing current corporate laws and emerging topics, including cryptocurrency and securities regulations. Thomas received his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Colorado State University, after competing in collegiate hockey his first year in college. Thomas' background in economics enables him to speak the language of his clients and view legal issues with an eye on business implications.

Antitrust and Competition Law

Thomas provides litigation and compliance advice to general counsels and corporate executives to simplify U.S. antitrust laws and anticipate issues before they arise. Thomas advises companies on both federal and state antitrust issues, and litigates matters including: price-fixing; market divisions; monopolization; and product and consumer allocations. Thomas also works with clients to protect their trade secrets and confidential information.

Corporate and Commercial Law

Thomas advises companies on a wide range of general corporate law matters, including contract negotiation, drafting of corporate documents, and compliance with a wide variety of laws and regulations. Thomas also advises companies in the technology space with respect to various data privacy compliance issues, transactional matters, and issues that accompany new and modified rules and regulations. Thomas also helps establish securities programs and other corporate policies for companies.

Securities and Financial Fraud

Thomas represents companies in federal and state litigation matters involving securities and financial fraud in the banking and financial services industries.
