Teagan Dow is an associate in the San Diego office of Lewis Brisbois and a member of the Labor & Employment and Employment Advice & Counseling Practices. Ms. Dow’s practice focuses on employment defense and consulting for a broad range of clients, from local startups to international companies. Ms. Dow has obtained approval from the EEOC to serve as a neutral employment consultant and regularly represents before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the California Division of Labor Standards Enforcement, the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing, state and federal courts. Ms. Dow has additional experience defending self-insured employers, third party administrators, and insurance carriers at Workers’ Compensation Appeals Boards throughout California.
With a hands-on, roll up the sleeves approach, Ms. Dow works directly with employers to provide full-service HR guidance and practical advice regarding wage and hour issues, disability/leave management, and preventative counseling geared toward minimizing potential risk. Ms. Dow also works with employers to investigate harassment, discrimination and retaliation claims; perform employment audits; provide custom harassment and related training; and draft and implement employer policies and procedures that reflect each business’s corporate culture and complies with applicable state and federal laws.
