Brian Docekal is a partner in the Chicago office of Lewis Brisbois. Brian focuses his practice on advising and representing clients ranging from mid-size businesses to large corporations in toxic tort litigation, with a particular emphasis on premises and product liability disputes. His experience includes handling catastrophic injury and wrongful death cases incurred through occupational exposure to asbestos. He participates and oversees all phases of litigation, from performing the investigation needed to successfully defend a suit, to conducting depositions, preparing and presenting motions, and trial preparation.

Prior to joining Lewis Brisbois, Brian clerked for a Chicago boutique litigation firm, focusing on the representation of businesses in the areas of labor and employment, construction disputes, railroad defense, and personal injury litigation.

While in law school at Loyola University Chicago, he interned in the Chief Judge’s Office of the Circuit Court of the 18th Judicial Circuit of the State of Illinois, gaining courtroom and trial experience in both civil and criminal matters. During his time in undergrad at Western Michigan University, Brian interned for the Honorable William C. Buhl of the 36th Circuit Court of the State of Michigan.
