Michael E. Coghlan

Partner

Michael Coghlan is a partner in the Providence office of Lewis Brisbois and a member of the Professional Liability Practice. Michael focuses his practice on architect and engineer professional liability, construction litigation, insurance defense and coverage. Michael also has significant experience in handling complex civil litigation, employment law issues, wrongful death matters, and general business litigation.

Michael has substantial civil trial and other experience in the states of Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island, and handling matters before the American Arbitration Association. Michael has also briefed and argued appellate matters before the Supreme Court of New Hampshire.

Prior to joining Lewis Brisbois' Providence office, Michael spent the last nine years at a Boston-based firm predominantly defending architects, engineers, and other design professionals from large professional liability claims.
