Kristen L. Burge

Associate

Kristen Burge is an associate in the New Orleans office focusing her practice on general liability. She has extensive experience representing corporate entities in product liability litigation, including discovery, motion practice, depositions, mediation, and trial preparation. She also has extensive experience defending companies in premises liability, negligence, and breach of contract claims. Prior to joining Lewis Brisbois, Kristen worked as a litigator for a national defense firm handling matters from inception to resolution, and preparing cases for trial as a member of the firm’s national trial team.

Kristen earned her J.D. from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University, where she graduated magna cum laude. During her time in law school, she served on the Cumberland Law Review's editorial board and received the top grade in ten courses. Kristen went on to get an LL.M. in Intellectual Property Law & Policy from the University of Washington School of Law, where she earned the CALI award of excellence in the Law & Technology course. The program selected her thesis as best overall paper, which she published in the Washington Journal of Law, Technology & Arts. 

Kristen served as a board member for the ABA Section of Litigation's Litigation News, publishing articles for practitioners nationwide, and currently contributes pro bono services to the Innocence Project.
