Vadim Braslavsky is a Partner in the Los Angeles office of Lewis Brisbois and a member of the Long-Term Care & Elder Law and Healthcare Practices. He also has experience in a wide range of litigation matters including general liability, medical malpractice, elder abuse, and products liability. With more than 15 years of experience he is aware of how stressful the legal process can be for his clients and therefore prides himself on providing the highest quality representation while being clear and concise to keep the process as painless as possible.
Mr. Braslavsky grew up in former Soviet Union where he was trained as a physician assistant before moving to the United States with his family as a teenager. This training has allowed him to have particular insight into cases involving personal injuries and to relate to his clients from a different perspective. Recently he defended an orthopedic surgeon in a medical malpractice/battery/fraud matter, through litigation and jury trial, which he co-tried in the Los Angeles County Superior Court, Santa Monica. The plaintiff alleged misdiagnosis and performance of an unnecessary arthroscopy and a total hip replacement seeking over $2 million in damages. The jury returned a defense verdict. Mr. Braslavsky has obtained multiple favorable rulings on motions for summary judgment in state courts and motions to dismiss in federal courts.
A graduate of University of Rochester, Mr. Braslavsky studied biology. He graduated with high honors and was accepted into Phi Beta Kappa before continuing onto University of California, Berkeley School of Law where he served as an Associate Editor, Berkeley Technology Law Journal.
Mr. Braslavsky is licensed to practice in all California state courts as well as United States District Courts for the Central and Easter Districts of California. When not at the office, Mr. Braslavsky enjoys listening to music, spending time with his dog, learning and using the latest technology and staying up to date on world affairs.
