Jessica A. Brasel is a partner in the Madison County, Illinois office of Lewis Brisbois and a member of the General Liability Practice.

Ms. Brasel has over 15 years of experience practicing law in the area of general liability defense. She has extensive experience defending corporations, mass transit companies, school districts, and trucking companies in a wide variety of civil litigation matters. Her experience includes being responsible for all aspects of general liability defense, including preparing pleadings, discovery, research, writing complex motions, pre-trial motions, jury instructions and post-trial motions. She is also well versed in taking and defending depositions involving claims of product liability, premises liability, employment discrimination, commercial trucking liability, wrongful death, and general negligence. She has prepared, argued, and won numerous dispositive motions in both state and federal courts. Ms. Brasel also has experience preparing and participating in numerous jury trials in both Missouri and Illinois.

Ms. Brasel also has extensive appellate experience. She has prepared appellate briefs, respondent’s briefs, and writs that were argued in the Illinois and Missouri appellate courts as well as the Missouri Supreme Court.
