Kara E. Angeletti is an associate in the Chicago office of Lewis Brisbois and a member of the General Liability Practice. She has experience defending cases involving: negligence, wrongful death, contractual disputes, consumer fraud, wage-and-hour claims, employment discrimination, section 1983 claims, prisoner’s rights issues, and professional liability cases. Kara is well versed in all stages of litigation, including analyzing a case from its inception to preparing it for appeal. Kara excels in drafting and arguing trial and appellate briefs and has helped secure favorable settlements for her clients with these skills. She also assists in the Insurance Coverage Practice, analyzing and interpreting insurance policies and indemnity agreements, preparing coverage opinions, and prosecuting declaratory judgment actions.

Kara began working at Lewis Brisbois in the summer associate program following her second year of law school. Prior to joining the firm, she clerked in the Illinois Appellate Court. She also worked at a large Chicago law firm in its intellectual property practice. While in law school, Kara was an Executive Articles Editor of the Chicago-Kent Law Review and Vice President of her school’s nationally-ranked moot court program. As a member of the moot court team, she competed in the nation’s two largest moot court competitions.
