Jessica L. Altobelli


Jessica L. Altobelli is an associate in the Pittsburgh office of Lewis Brisbois and a member of the Labor & Employment Practice.

Ms. Altobelli began her career as an in-house attorney specializing in Medicare Compliance before transitioning into litigation. Ms. Altobelli’s litigation practice has included general liability defense, transportation law, and school district defense with a focus in constitutional tort defense. She now focuses her practice solely in labor and employment matters where she regularly defends employers in state and federal court litigation and administrative proceedings arising out of all aspects of the employment relationship. Specifically, Ms. Altobelli’s litigation practice includes representing employers in matters involving claims relating to discrimination, retaliation, restrictive covenants, wrongful discharge, protected leaves of absence, breach of contract, defamation, fraud, and trade secrets misappropriation before various judicial and administrative tribunals, including federal and state courts throughout Pennsylvania and government agencies such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission, and the City of Pittsburgh Commission on Human Relations.

Ms. Altobelli earned her Juris Doctor from Duquesne University School of Law, where she served for one year as a student attorney in the Civil Rights Clinic, and a second year as the clinic’s student manager. She was also awarded a fellowship though the Public Interest Law Association allowing her to serve as a certified legal intern at Neighborhood Legal Services, where she now sits on the Board of Directors.

Ms. Altobelli is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, as well as the United States District Courts for the Western District of Pennsylvania. She is a member of the American, Pennsylvania, and Allegheny County Bar Associations.
