Dona T. Abdo


Dona Abdo is an associate in the Los Angeles office of Lewis Brisbois and a member of the General Liability Practice.

Dona has experience in civil, state, federal, trial, appellate, and investigatory matters.  She has represented individual and corporate clients in cases involving breach of contract, unfair trade practices, fraud, indemnity and contribution, regulatory compliance and investigations, wrongful death and catastrophic injury, professional malpractice, government tort liability, breach of fiduciary duty, and partnership disputes.  She also has substantial experience representing clients across a wide range of practice areas, including insurance defense, product defect, negligence, premise liability, construction, FEHA sexual harassment and discrimination, retaliation, OSHA violations, wrongful termination, 1983 violations, First Amendment violations, defamation, and malicious prosecution.

As a young attorney, Dona already has extensive experience managing cases from inception to resolution, including pre-litigation negotiations and settlements, law and motion, taking and defending depositions, conducting written and expert discovery, drafting and arguing dispositive motions and motions in limine, case management, mediation and arbitration, and second chairing on multiple trials.

Dona is also a pro bono attorney for The Alliance for Children’s Rights, where she protects the rights of impoverished and abused children and youth, and helps provide them with the stable homes, healthcare and education they need to thrive. In her spare time, she volunteers for other astounding organizations like the Los Angeles Trial Lawyers’ Charities, Make a Wish Foundation, Hashtag Lunchbag, and School on Wheels. She is also the program chair of the Commercial Law and Bankruptcy Section of LACBA.
