Patrik Johansson is an of counsel in the Los Angeles office of Lewis Brisbois and a member of the Miscellaneous Professional Liability Practice. Mr. Johansson has experience representing professionals including real estate brokers, attorneys, insurance brokers and agents, appraisers and mortgage brokers. Mr. Johansson has also represented large financial institutions in several litigation matters. Mr. Johansson has been involved in more than 500 cases involving allegations of unfair debt collection practices under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), the Rosenthal Act and the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA).

Mr. Johansson has extensive experience defending attorneys against claims of legal malpractice, malicious prosecution, and third-party claims. He co-authored the section involving potential claims against lawyers involved in the collection of consumer debts in the California Legal Malpractice and Malicious Prosecution Liability Handbook.
