Kristi Hedrick is a partner in the Orange County office of Lewis Brisbois and a member of the Healthcare Practice. Her principal area of specialization lies in the defense of hospitals, medical and surgical centers, physicians, nurses and all ancillary staff in cases involving allegations of medical malpractice, negligence, elder and dependent adult abuse, premises liability, ostensible agency, fraud, battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, negligent infliction of emotional distress and products liability.

Ms. Hedrick’s extensive legal experience includes defending high profile complex claims with significant exposure in all phases of litigation including aggressive discovery, law and motion, oral argument, settlement negotiation and extensive trial preparation. Ms. Hedrick has taken and defended countless depositions and, as hospital counsel, represents hospital directors, administrators, and physicians when subpoenaed for deposition in outside matters. Ms. Hedrick is well-versed in the medical realm and is equipped to handle all hospital and facility related issues which include, however are not limited to patient safety, regulation compliance, policy and procedure, employment, patient privacy and security. Ms. Hedrick has obtained numerous favorable outcomes for her clients in the form of dismissals and motions for summary judgment in the early phases of litigation. She is a determined advocate and skilled negotiator with extensive mediation experience. Ms. Hedrick likewise serves as an internal consultant, providing educational seminars to hospital and medical center staff.
