Mr. Barry Hassenberg is a partner in the Los Angeles office of Lewis Brisbois and a member of the Professional Liability and Products Liability Practices. Mr. Hassenberg is experienced in all phases of litigation with an emphasis on civil litigation, including cases involving product liability, premises liability and governmental entity defense.
During Barry’s eleven years with Lewis Brisbois Bisgaard and Smith, Barry, a lawyer with 40 years of experience, has second chaired approximately ten 1983 trials with me, and has litigated numerous other 1983 cases that either settled or were summarily adjudicated before trial. They have included several high profile, high exposure cases, litigated by some of the prominent plaintiff attorneys currently handling civil rights litigation, including Dale Galipo and Brian Dunn.
Barry has defended 1983 cases for the County of San Bernardino Sheriff’s Department, The City of Fullerton Police Department, and the County of Orange Sheriff’s Department, among others.
