Jeffrey Liptrot Appointed to Probate Judgeship

Providence Partner Jeffrey Liptrot was recently appointed judge of the Probate Court of Scituate, Rhode Island.

In Rhode Island, the probate court in each municipality has primary jurisdiction over the administration of all estates, fiduciaries, guardianships, conservatorships, and other ancillary matters to the estate. 

In addition to his appointment, Mr. Liptrot was inducted into the Rhode Island Probate Judges Association, which comprises several judges of various probate courts throughout the state. The Probate Judges Association is empowered to draft, review, and advise the state legislature on all proposed probate statutory amendments and recommendations.
