Jana Lubert, Co-Chair of Lewis Brisbois’ national Women’s Initiatives Committee, attributes the high number of female partner promotions at Lewis Brisbois to the firm’s philosophy of hiring the best candidates.

“As the firm has continued to grow, it has sought out qualified attorneys who not only excel in their respective areas of practice, but who fit with the firm’s culture of inclusion and professionalism, both within our firm community as well as within the legal community of each of our firm’s 40 office jurisdictions. This has resulted in a high percentage of women in Lewis Brisbois’ associate and partner ranks,” Lubert said.

This practice has fostered Lewis Brisbois’ growth from a seven-lawyer Los Angeles firm to the largest Los Angeles-based law firm, the largest domestically-based California law firm, and the 15th largest law firm in the United States, with more than 1,100 attorneys in 26 states.

It has also earned Lewis Brisbois consistent recognition for its commitment to embracing diversity and offering an inclusive atmosphere of opportunity to our attorneys. In recent years, Lewis Brisbois has been ranked fourth on Law360’s “10 Best BigLaw Firms for Female Attorneys,” first on California Magazine’s “Diverse Law Firms,” and third on Law360’s “Top 100 Firms for Minority Lawyers,” among other honors.

Our ongoing commitment to diversity and inclusion ensures that the firm achieves its goal of being a truly client-driven and result-oriented firm with attorneys who have broad knowledge, extensive experience, and special sensitivity to our clients’ unique and varied needs.
