Richard Wolf Continues ‘Wolf Bites’ Series in Claims Journal

Los Angeles Partner Richard B. Wolf recently published an article titled “Property Insurer Liable for Shortfall in Policy Benefits Promised by Agent, Due to Unexplained Effect of Coinsurance Clause” for his “Wolf Bites” column in the Claims Journal.

The article examines a recent Florida Court of Appeal opinion reversing the dismissal of a claim for negligent procurement of property insurance after determining that the insurer’s agent did not account "for a reduction in insurance loss proceeds caused by operation of a coinsurance clause in the policy issued.”
