Los Angeles Partner Michael Grimaldi recently had an article titled “Trying Class Actions: The Complex Task of Managing and Resolving Individual Issues in Class Trials” published by the University of Texas School of Law’s The Review of Litigation publication.

The article looks at the rising number of class actions going to trial rather than settling after class certification and explores “the interplay between a defendant’s due process right in a class action trial to present individual evidence, the manageability of individual issues at trial, and when it is necessary to conduct individual class-member discovery."
