Dallas Partner Katherine Compton recently had an article on trademark litigation published as part of the Texas Bar Journal’s “2017 Year in Review” feature.

Compton recapped the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision in Matal v. Tam, a landmark case in which the court found that the Lanham Act’s disparagement clause “constituted viewpoint discrimination violating a bedrock principal of the First Amendment.”
