Mark Valentine is a partner in the Denver office of Lewis Brisbois and a member of the Energy & Environment Practice. Mr. Valentine has over a decade of public utilities and transportation experience, participating in complex litigated and policy proceedings. Mr. Valentine served as counsel to the Colorado Public Utilities Commission for nearly four years, and then was an associate at Ryley Carlock & Applewhite where he represented regulated utilities, and customers. Mr. Valentine then accepted a position at Dufford & Brown where he became a shareholder, representing customers of utilities in proceedings ranging from utility easement disputes to renewable energy policy making proceedings to complex rate cases.

Prior Experience

Mark was a senior legislative analyst for the Colorado Legislature's Joint Budget Committee where he became an expert in the legislative process and state government. Mark has testified on legislation and is very familiar with how policy is made in Colorado.
