Bridget Truxillo is an associate in the Houston office of Lewis Brisbois and a member of the Labor & Employment Practice. Her law practice entails civil litigation with a unique perspective into law enforcement related issues. Bridget’s background as a deputy sheriff, narcotics investigator, and SWAT team member provides her with valuable experience and a unique perspective in addressing litigation and public employee civil service issues.
After graduating from the University of Florida with a B.S in Environmental Horticulture, Bridget attended the Santa Fe College Police Academy and later joined the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office in Gainesville, FL. Bridget began in the Patrol division and quickly moved into the Narcotics and Organized Crime Unit where she spent the majority of her career as a Deputy Sheriff. In addition, Bridget was the only female member of the SWAT team, during which time she twice participated in SWAT Round-Up International, an international SWAT competition held in Orlando, FL every November. After the Sheriff’s Office, Bridget earned a law degree from the St. Thomas University School of Law in Miami, FL.
