Shelly D. Crochet is an associate in the Atlanta office of Lewis Brisbois and a member of the General Liability Practice. Shelly is a proud Double Dawg. She graduated from the University of Georgia in 2014 with degrees in both political science and international affairs and the University of Georgia School of Law in 2017. During law school, Shelly was the recipient of the Franklin Merit Scholarship for all three years. She was elected the 1L Section Vice President, Secretary, and 3L Vice President by her class and served as the Senior Articles Editor on the Journal of Intellectual Property Law. While serving as a staff editor on the Journal of Intellectual Property Law, Shelly’s student note, Official Code, Locked Down: an Analysis of Copyright as it Applies to Annotations of State Official Codes, was selected for publication in the journal. Meanwhile, she worked in domestic civil litigation for a majority of law school and right after law school in an Atlanta firm. She also worked with the District Attorney’s Office in Athens, GA, where she gained valuable litigation experience. On a personal level, Shelly enjoys running on the Beltline in Atlanta, cheering on the Braves and the Dawgs, and walking her Australian Cattle Dog, Buster.
