Jeremy Rix is an associate in the Providence office of Lewis Brisbois and a member of the Workers' Compensation Practice. Jeremy served as a Judicial Law Clerk for the Appellate Division of the Rhode Island Workers' Compensation Court under the Honorable Debra Olsson. As a Judicial Law Clerk, Jeremy researched and drafted appellate opinions and orders as well as trial court decisions. Jeremy graduated in the top ten of his class from Roger Williams University: School of Law, where he had the opportunities to serve as a Research Assistant, Assistant Editor of the Law Review, and as a Judicial Extern to the Honorable Gilbert V. Indeglia at the Rhode Island Supreme Court.

Legal Experience

In addition to serving as a Judicial Law Clerk at the Rhode Island Workers' Compensation Court, Jeremy gained experience during law school in working at Ursillo, Teitz & Ritch, Ltd., the Law Office of Patrick J. Quinlan, and Shekarchi Law. Jeremy prosecuted, and won, his first case at trial while at Ursillo, Teitz & Ritch, as a Senior Law Student practicing under the supervision of the Bristol Town Solicitor. The violation and fine were upheld by both the Rhode Island Superior Court and the Rhode Island Supreme Court.

Prior Experience

In 2011, after graduating from Rhode Island College and completing student teaching at Toll Gate High School in Warwick, Jeremy received his certification as a teacher of secondary history from the State of Rhode Island.

Community Activities

Jeremy has long been a member of the Norwood Neighborhood Association, currently serving on the Leadership Committee and the Crime Watch Committee. Jeremy is also a member of the City of Warwick Charter Review Commission. While a student, Jeremy's handmade jewelry and designs were featured three times at the Warwick Museum of Art's annual affordable art sale.
