Charles Egner is a partner in the Chicago office of Lewis Brisbois and a member of the Medical Malpractice and Professional Liability Practices. He is experienced in defending medical professionals, hospitals, rehabilitation centers, and long-term care facilities in malpractice and personal injury matters. He also has a strong background in handling insurance coverage matters, including coverage litigation.

Mr. Egner is involved in all aspects of litigation defense, including developing defense strategies; taking the lead in depositions; preparing physicians, nurses and experts for deposition; and drafting and arguing motions.

Professional Presentations

Mr. Egner has prepared programs for the in-house education of staff nurses in the areas of deposition preparation and medical record documentation. In addition, he has presented on the topic of medical record confidentiality and access issues.
