Caitlin Colman is a partner in the Sacramento office of Lewis Brisbois. She is a member of the Complex Business & Commercial Litigation Practice with broad experience in a variety of fields, including representation of nationwide publishers, large corporations, utilities, public entities and contractors in complex commercial disputes and regulatory matters. Her experience includes class action defense, sophisticated contract disputes, unfair business practice matters, employment matters and partnership disputes.

Ms. Colman has participated in numerous trials throughout California, in both state and federal court. She has particular experience in class action defense litigation, where she has successfully defeated class certification and defended denial of certification on appeal. Her team has conducted class actions from inception through trial, including recently securing one of the few complete class action defense verdicts in California’s history.

Ms. Colman also has experience providing counsel to firm clients on a broad range of state and local government policy. She has worked with clients to identify key legislation and to analyze its likely impact. Ms. Colman has represented the interests of firm clients at legislative hearings at the state Capitol.

Prior to joining Lewis Brisbois, Ms. Colman was an associate at a litigation firm in Southern California. Ms. Colman also served as an intern at the Supreme Court of the United States.
