Arthur Biller is an associate in the Denver office (*not yet licensed in Colorado) of Lewis Brisbois and is a member of the Complex Business & Commercial Litigation, Government Investigations, Securities Litigation & FINRA, and White Collar Criminal Defense Practices. Arthur has experience representing private equity firms, hedge funds, and public and private companies in all stages of civil litigation in federal and state courts, at both the trial court and appellate levels, as well as before the SEC and U.S. Attorney’s Office. Arthur has experience in matters involving breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, veil-piercing, fraudulent transfer, successor liability, employment discrimination, insider trading, the Securities Act of 1933, the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, disputes over securitized trusts, and professional negligence.

Prior to joining Lewis Brisbois, Arthur was an associate at a large law firm in New York. Arthur earned his Juris Doctorcum laude from New York University School of Law and his Bachelor of Artsmagna cum laude from New York University. After graduating from law school, Arthur clerked on the Supreme Court of New Jersey for the Honorable Helen E. Hoens.

Pro Bono & Philanthropy

Arthur represented a class of transgender Medicaid recipients against the New York State Department of Health in Cruz v. Zucker. The case involved a challenge to a New York State regulation that prohibited Medicaid coverage for transgender-related healthcare. The court ruled in favor of the class on summary judgment, resulting in a new regulation that provides essential healthcare for low-income transgender New Yorkers.
