Willow Arnold is a partner in the Denver office of Lewis Brisbois and a member of the Workers' Compensation Practice Group and the Employment & Labor Practice Group. Ms. Arnold represents employers, insurers and self-insured employers in workers’ compensation and employment matters throughout the State of Colorado. Ms. Arnold has handled workers’ compensation matters since 2003 and employment matters since 2007.

At the Colorado Attorney General’s Office Ms. Arnold represented the Subsequent Injury Fund and the Major Medical Insurance Fund in workers’ compensation matters before the Office of Administrative Courts. Ms. Arnold provided Attorney General Informal Opinion memoranda to the Subsequent Injury Fund and the Major Medical Insurance Fund regarding various workers’ compensation matters. Ms. Arnold also provided general and employment related legal advice to State agencies.  Representing State agencies in employment matters before the State Personnel Board, Colorado Court of Appeals and Colorado Supreme Court.  Ms. Arnold prosecuted cases on behalf of the Colorado Civil Rights Commission regarding violations of Colorado’s housing and employment discrimination statutes.  Ms. Arnold provided training to State agencies regarding the application of State Personnel rules, workplace violence, discrimination, harassment and progressive discipline.  Ms. Arnold obtained civil protection orders for State agencies.  Ms. Arnold drafted response briefs, traveled to correctional facilities to conduct employee and inmate interviews, and conducting hearings on Americans with Disabilities Act damages claims brought by Colorado Department of Corrections inmates in the class action Montez v. Romer case.  

At the Colorado Attorney General’s Office Ms. Arnold focused on client education through frequent lecturing and training workshops to all State of Colorado agencies and regional training workshops for specific State Agencies.  Ms. Arnold continues to provide client trainings on workers’ compensation matters here at Lewis Brisbois.
