Alan Nolley is an associate in the San Francisco office of Lewis Brisbois and a member of the General Liability Practice. Mr. Nolley has extensive experience in litigating complex multi-party actions and real estate, toxic tort, premises liability, transportation, catastrophic injury, landlord/tenant, products liability and environmental claims. Mr. Nolley also assists his clients in general business, real estate, and intellectual property transactional matters, including the negotiation of contracts, license agreements and other business transactions.
Mr. Nolley maintains a diverse caseload, defending a wide range of insured and self-insured business entities in litigation and pre-litigation matters. Mr. Nolley has significant experience in defending his clients in all phases of litigation in state and federal court, including arbitration, negotiation, alternative dispute resolution, trial and appeal. He has also filed and successfully argued many dispositive motions, in both state and federal court, in addition to preparing successful motions at all states of litigation. Mr. Nolley has mediated hundreds of cases prior to trial, ultimately reducing his clients’ litigation costs and resulting in favorable results.
Prior to joining Lewis Brisbois, Mr. Nolley was Senior Counsel at a national law firm practicing business and commercial litigation, including the defense and prosecution of commercial and business claims and counseling of clients regarding contract and related business matters.
