Joshua Adams is an associate in the Indian Wells office of Lewis Brisbois and a member of the Complex Business & Commercial Litigation Practice, the Real Estate, Land Use & Environment Practice, and the Corporate Practice. Mr. Adams has assisted both plaintiffs and defendants navigate through complex litigation in state and federal courts. A wide breadth of litigation experience combined with in-house corporate experience and an ever-present passion for studying the law means his clients will have a formidable team member in their corner.
Throughout law school and after, Mr. Adams gained extensive experience working with federal litigation, including cases involving the Due Process Clause, the First Amendment, the Copyright Act, the Administrative Procedure Act, and the Freedom of Information Act. As a legal intern, Mr. Adams often tackled questions of first impression in the cutting edge field of national security law for cases before the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit. During his first summer position, he worked in-house for a corporation where he assisted with the creation and management of commercial contracts, and worked on issues of compliance with federal and state laws.
Following graduation, as a legal fellow with an environmental non-profit law firm practicing in Washington D.C, Mr. Adams worked with the Freedom of Information Act, state and federal Whistleblower laws, federal environmental statutes, and the California Environmental Quality Act. Prior to returning to, he also worked for a law firm in Washington D.C. where he assisted with cases in federal courts for business disputes concerning the laws of multiple states, and claims under the Due Process Clause, the Administrative Procedure Act and the False Claims Act.
Born and raised in California, Mr. Adams is happy to return to the state as a new associate with the Indian Wells office of Lewis Brisbois. He resides in La Quinta with his wife Courtney, and Labrador Retriever Sophie.
