Records Clerk – Los Angeles

Lewis Brisbois Bisgaard & Smith, LLP is seeking a records clerk for the Los Angeles office. The records clerk will be responsible for providing clerical support to an assigned legal group, including:

  • Creation and maintenance of physical and/or hardcopy files
  • Scanning of documents and profiling data into the records management database
  • Research, retrieval and delivery of documents, files and/or boxes as requested, utilizing records management software
  • Labeling of files selected for Ethical Wall restriction
  • Organization and preparation of files for transfer out of the office

Qualified candidates should have a minimum of one year law firm experience in a busy records department, including:

  • Ability to distinguish pleadings and discovery
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to effectively prioritize work
  • Computer and typing proficiency
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Ability to push, pull, bend, squat, stand, and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Excellent track-record of attendance, punctuality, and reliability
