Billing Clerk - Madison County

The Billing Clerk will be required to provide ongoing support to the Billing Department by assisting with a variety of clerical related duties. The duties include assisting with editing and maintaining prebills, updating budgetary information, invoice submission, and other duties related to the submission of monthly billing. Must have a high quality level of customer service, effective communication, professionalism, and interpersonal skills, as the role requires various interactions with management, attorneys, and other staff, in addition to firm clients, in the midst of a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Education Requirement: High School / GED

Experience Requirement: 3-5 years



  • 3 to 5 or more years of hands-on clerical experience in a law firm environment. A minimum of 5 years in an office environment.
  • Experience with Elite, LawTime, Prolaw, Aderant, or equivalent accounting software experience.
  • Must have strong technology skills and particularly strong skills in a service-oriented office environment.
  • Proficiency with Excel and the ability to prepare ad hoc reports and requests as needed.
